CM Dhami Unveils Uttarakhand’s Yoga Policy in Bhararisain

On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a mass yoga session with over 800 people in Bhararisain, Karnaprayag. During the event, held amidst traditional festivities, the Chief Minister officially launched Uttarakhand’s first state-level Yoga Policy.

Accompanied by Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat, local MLA Anil Nautiyal, yoga guru Bharat Bhushan, and diplomats from several countries, CM Dhami highlighted Uttarakhand’s role as the spiritual origin of yoga. He emphasized the global influence of yoga under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

“Yoga, which originated from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, is now being embraced across the globe. Let us all adopt yoga in our daily lives and contribute to building a healthy and balanced society,” CM Dhami said while addressing the gathering.

The newly introduced Yoga Policy is expected to formalize yoga’s integration in health, education, and tourism sectors across the state.
