Haridwar: CM Dhami Attends BMS Event, Reviews Kanwar Yatra Preparedness

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the concluding ceremony of the “Swarnim 70 Varsh” celebrations organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) in Haridwar today. Addressing the gathering, the CM emphasized the government’s efforts in enhancing coordination between workers and industries. He stated that the focus remains on ensuring the best possible facilities for all workers across the state.

Following the event, CM Dhami met with Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Raj Rajeshwarashram Maharaj and sought his blessings. Speaking to the media afterward, the Chief Minister assured that preparations for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra are nearly complete. He added that a high-level review meeting will be held soon to fine-tune arrangements.

Dhami also highlighted ongoing coordination with central agencies regarding the monsoon and disaster readiness. He acknowledged that Uttarakhand frequently suffers from natural disasters and said a major seminar was recently conducted to tackle disaster challenges. “The outcomes of this seminar will benefit not only Uttarakhand but also serve as a model for the world,” he noted.
