Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the misuse of minority scholarship funds through forged documents on the National Scholarship Portal. The decision comes after reports surfaced of several institutions embezzling funds by submitting fake records.
Preliminary findings indicate that some madrassas, Sanskrit schools, and other educational institutions obtained scholarships fraudulently. Taking serious note of the matter, the Chief Minister emphasized that no one involved in corruption will be spared.
CM Dhami asserted that the SIT will conduct a thorough investigation to identify those responsible and ensure strict legal action is taken. He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, particularly when it concerns benefits meant for students.
