Under PM Awas Yojana 2.0, Uttarakhand has received approval for 1,451 houses, all in the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) category. Each beneficiary will get ₹2.75 lakh. Guided by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the application process is currently underway across the state.
So far, around 8,000 applications have been submitted on the ministry’s website, of which nearly 5,500 fall under the BLC category. The Directorate of Urban Development completed verification and geo-tagging for 1,541 applications and sent the proposal to the ministry. These were approved in the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) meeting chaired by the Union Urban Development Secretary.
According to Urban Development Directorate official Rajeev Pandey, verification for around 4,000 more houses is in progress, and their proposals will soon be sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
