Thirteen women from across Uttarakhand have been selected for the prestigious Teelu Rauteli Award this year. The award ceremony will take place on September 4 at the IRDT auditorium. Along with this, 33 Anganwadi workers will also be honoured with state-level awards for their dedicated service.
Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya informed that the Teelu Rauteli Award is given to women who have achieved excellence in their respective fields and inspired others. She added that Anganwadi workers have been consistently contributing beyond their capacity and have played a vital role in strengthening the state’s social development framework.
The minister emphasized that empowering women is a top priority of the government and acknowledged the contribution of Anganwadi sisters, stating that they truly represent the essence of women empowerment. She assured that the state government will continue to support them in every possible way.
