AIIMS Rishikesh and BMJ Partner to Publish ‘Journal of Medical Evidence’

Rishikesh: Today, AIIMS Rishikesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

with the British Medical Journal (BMJ) to publish its official scientific journal, Journal of Medical Evidence (JME). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during a program organized at AIIMS Rishikesh. Representing AIIMS, Executive Director Professor Meenu Singh signed the agreement, while BMJ was represented by Prashant Mishra.

Professor Meenu Singh described the collaboration as a proud moment for the institution, noting that the agreement, valid for the next five years, marks a major step in strengthening academic publication standards. She stated that JME, a quarterly publication listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), will now gain international exposure through BMJ’s global platform.

JME’s Chief Editor, Professor Samiran Nundy, called the partnership a prestigious milestone that will enhance the journal’s scholarly impact and global visibility. Managing Editor Dr. Ajit Bhadouria said the collaboration reflects AIIMS Rishikesh’s dedication to advancing medical evidence and academic excellence. He added that this association will further strengthen the institute’s commitment to quality research and evidence-based medicine.

BMJ, one of the world’s oldest and most renowned medical journals, is published by the BMJ Publishing Group under the British Medical Association (BMA). It is known for publishing credible, evidence-based research, clinical reviews, medical innovations, and editorial perspectives across various medical disciplines.

The MoU signing event was attended by Professor Meenu Singh, Professor Samiran Nundy, Dr. Ajit Singh Bhadouria, Senior Librarian and Information Officer Sandeep Kumar Singh, Senior Private Secretary Vineet Kumar Singh, Dr. Indra Kumar Sherawat, Dr. Bhavana Gupta, and BMJ representative Prashant Mishra.
