Dehradun, 12 Nov: In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, approval has been granted to include the task related to UPNL Overseas Manpower Recruitment as point number 14 in the Articles of Association. This decision will enable ex-servicemen, their dependants, and permanent residents of Uttarakhand to obtain employment opportunities abroad through UPNL.
Along with this, an important decision related to the Madhugram Scheme of the Horticulture Department was also taken in the cabinet meeting. The cabinet approved the release of a total amount of Rs 29.40 lakh as pending payments under the State Sector Madhugram Scheme. This amount will be paid to the beekeepers who supplied beehives and bee colonies under the scheme.
Agriculture and Soldiers’ Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and all cabinet members for this decision and said that this step will open new doors of employment for the youth and families of soldiers in the state.
