Haridwar – Tension escalated into violence at Arogyaam Society on the Haridwar–Roorkee road after a clash broke out between two groups over an alleged land encroachment issue. According to one group, supporters of a former society president attempted to enter the residential complex along with a large number of outsiders, triggering the confrontation.
The opposing side claimed that society security staff and local residents tried to stop the group from entering, which led to physical clashes. During the incident, several people from both sides reportedly sustained injuries. Multiple vehicles parked inside and near the society premises were also vandalised, adding to the chaos.
Residents said the situation quickly went out of control, forcing people to stay indoors as violence spread across the area. A video of the clash, showing people attacking each other and damaging vehicles, has gone viral on social media and is being widely circulated as originating from Arogyaam Society.
Police officials stated that, so far, no written complaint has been submitted by either party. However, they are aware of the viral video and are monitoring the situation closely. Authorities said action will be taken once formal complaints are received and facts are verified.
