The three-day Vasantotsav 2026 will be held at Raj Bhavan Dehradun from 27 February to 1 March, with this year’s theme set as “Floral Healing”. The annual event, organised at Lok Bhavan within the Raj Bhavan premises, aims to promote local products and strengthen flower-based tourism in Uttarakhand.
Gurmit Singh said the festival has evolved into a cultural, economic and environmental identity of Dehradun. He stated that Vasantotsav contributes to the development of floral and local tourism while opening new avenues in floriculture.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on 27 February at 11 am. On the opening day, it will remain open for visitors from 1 pm to 6 pm, while on the remaining two days it will be accessible from 9 am to 6 pm. Entry for the general public will be free.
A total of 15 main competitions with 55 sub-categories will be organised, and 165 prizes will be distributed. Categories include cut flowers, potted plants and hanging pots. A painting competition will be held for specially-abled children. For the first time, a hydroponic technology competition has also been introduced.
Uttarakhand Technical University and ITDA will conduct visitor counting and emotional mapping through a specially developed app. A live rhythmic yoga performance will be presented by students of NIEPVD. The food court will feature millet-based dishes, and visitors can also explore a stamp exhibition and an art gallery.

Three outstanding farmers and three outstanding women farmers will be honoured with the Governor Award. A separate committee has been constituted for the selection process.
