A youth from Bihar went missing after drowning in the Alaknanda River while bathing on the occasion of Holi. The incident occurred when the youth entered the river after the celebrations and was suddenly swept into deep water.
The missing person has been identified as Deepak Kumar, a resident of Dilahi in Darbhanga district of Bihar. According to initial information, the incident took place on Wednesday when he went to bathe in the river after Holi festivities. During the bath, he reportedly moved into a deeper section of the river and began to drown.
After receiving information about the incident, the local police team immediately reached the spot along with personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). A joint search and rescue operation was launched soon after.

Rescue teams are continuing the search operation in the river area. Authorities said a thorough search is being carried out to locate the missing youth. The operation is still ongoing as teams scan different parts of the river.
