Attendants of patients admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh will now be required to carry a pass while moving within the hospital premises. Under this new system, attendants must deposit a security fee of ₹100 at the time of admission, which will be refunded upon discharge.
The initiative aims to reduce overcrowding and ensure better hospital management. Security personnel will check the passes at various entry points, including wards and other restricted areas. Patients believe this measure will help control unnecessary gatherings and enhance security.
According to Medical Superintendent Prof. Satya Shri, the policy is being implemented to maintain a peaceful and safe environment for patient care. The hospital’s security department will soon enforce the rule.
Strict Action on Tobacco Use
AIIMS Rishikesh has also introduced strict regulations against tobacco consumption. Anyone caught smoking or using tobacco products within the hospital premises will face a ₹200 fine. Deputy Chief Security Officer Anil Chandra stated that all security guards have been instructed to enforce this rule strictly.
Patients and their families have welcomed these measures, believing they will create a safer and more patient-friendly hospital environment.
