Over 7000 Anganwadi Workers to Be Appointed Uttarakhand: Rekha Arya

Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya inaugurated a newly constructed Anganwadi building near Nanda Ki Chowki in Gram Panchayat Kandoli (Sahaspur block) on Thursday. During the event, she announced that the appointment process for over 7,000 Anganwadi workers and helpers in rural areas of Uttarakhand is in its final stage, and appointment letters will be distributed soon.

The new Anganwadi building has been constructed at a cost of approximately ₹12 lakh. The minister stated that Anganwadi centers are being developed as strong grassroots institutions. Workers are being equipped with CUG SIM cards and mobile phones to simplify and enhance the efficiency of their work.

She added that the state government is making continuous efforts to effectively implement child development schemes on the ground. During the event, Rekha Arya interacted with beneficiaries of the Nanda Gaura Scheme and the Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Kit Scheme, emphasizing their positive impact on women empowerment.

The program was attended by Sahaspur MLA Sahdev Pundir, Deputy Director Vikram Singh, Jitendra Kumar, Taruna Chamola, Neetu Fulara, Parshuram Saklani, Mukesh Kumar, and several other officials.
