Anurag Thakur Backs Allu Arjun, Accuses Conspiracy Against Telugu Actors

BJP MP Anurag Thakur has voiced support for “Pushpa 2” actor Allu Arjun, alleging attempts to tarnish the image of Telugu actors. Though he refrained from naming anyone directly, his statement is being interpreted as a veiled criticism of the Telangana government. Thakur highlighted the significant contributions of the Telugu film industry to Indian cinema and emphasized that such contributions should not be undermined by political agendas.

Referring to the global acclaim of South Indian films like “RRR,” “Pushpa,” “Baahubali,” and “KGF,” Thakur noted that these movies have elevated Indian cinema’s international standing. He also lauded the Modi government for honoring South Indian stars Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi with national awards, showcasing respect for the Telugu film industry.

Stampede at Film Premiere
Hyderabad police recently questioned Allu Arjun regarding a stampede during the premiere of his movie “Pushpa 2” on December 4. The tragic incident resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to her son. The boy’s father expressed gratitude to the actor and the Telangana government for their support during this challenging time.

Political Tensions Rise
Telangana Congress MLA Bhupathi Reddy issued a warning to Allu Arjun, stating that if he made any statements against the Chief Minister, his films might face a ban in the state. Accusing the actor of delving into politics, Reddy urged him to focus on his acting career instead of political controversies.
