Mussoorie – A helicopter returning from Badrinath was forced to make an emergency landing at Mussoorie International School on Monday afternoon due to heavy rain and dense fog. The chopper, carrying six people including the pilot, landed safely, and all passengers are unharmed.
According to senior school teacher Akash Grover, the incident occurred around 4 pm when the helicopter descended on the school ground. Passengers revealed that they had visited Badrinath temple on Sunday and were on their way back to Dehradun when bad weather conditions forced the diversion.
Later in the evening, the passengers left the school premises, but the helicopter remained stationed in the school ground. Among the travelers were individuals from Karnal in Haryana and Hyderabad.
Confirming the incident, Mussoorie Circle Officer Manoj Aswal said the emergency landing was carried out due to poor weather conditions. He further added that all six occupants were completely safe.
