In Chamoli’s Dumak village, a bear attacked a couple collecting grass for their cattle. The husband died on the spot, while the wife was seriously injured and referred to AIIMS Rishikesh.
According to information, Leela Devi and Sundar Singh from Dumak village had gone to collect fodder in the morning when a bear hiding nearby attacked them. Sundar Singh died on the spot, while Leela Devi was critically injured and airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment.
