Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its first list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Prominent among them is Parvesh Verma, who will contest from the New Delhi seat against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, as well as Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit.
For the Kalkaji seat, BJP has fielded Ramesh Bidhuri to take on AAP’s CM candidate Atishi and Congress’s Alka Lamba. In Patparganj, BJP’s Ravinder Singh Negi will challenge AAP’s Avadh Ojha.
Key names in the list include Dushyant Gautam from Karol Bagh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden, Kailash Gehlot from Bijwasan, and Arvinder Singh Lovely from Gandhi Nagar.

- Malviya Nagar: Satish Upadhyay
- Mehrauli: Gajendra Yadav
- Ambedkar Nagar: Khushiram Chunar
- Vishwas Nagar: Om Prakash Verma
- Seemapuri: Kumari Rinku
- Ghonda: Ajay Mahawar
The BJP aims to strengthen its position in the capital by presenting strong contenders against AAP and Congress candidates in key constituencies.
