BJP Forms New Team with Focus on Youth, Women and Regional Balance

The BJP has announced its new state team after extensive discussions, aiming to secure a third consecutive victory in the 2027 assembly elections. The organization has placed significant trust in young leaders, while ensuring a balance between the hills and plains, along with representation for MPs’ close aides.

For the first time, a woman has been appointed as state general secretary, with Deepti Rawat taking the role. In addition, two women leaders have been made ministers and two others vice presidents. Most new appointees fall in the 40–50 age group. State president Mahendra Bhatt said the team of youth, women, and experienced leaders will drive the party’s Mission 2027.

From Haridwar district, four leaders have been included. Former MLA Swami Yatishwaranand has been appointed vice president, while Deepti Rawat, Dr. Swaraj Vidwan, and Neha Joshi have also been given key responsibilities. Leaders from both Garhwal and Kumaon regions have been represented.

Some officials retained their roles for a third time. State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan continues in his position, credited for strong media management during the 2022 assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Treasurer Puneet Mittal and state minister Aditya Chauhan also return for a third consecutive term.
