Supporters of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) leader Pappu Yadav staged protests across Bihar, demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination due to alleged irregularities. Major districts, including Patna, Hajipur, Purnia, Madhepura, Saharsa, and Supaul, witnessed disruptions as protesters blocked roads and set fires.
Protests in Patna
At the NIT More on Ashok Rajpath in Patna, demonstrators engaged in arson and raised slogans against the government. Former JAP student leader Manish Yadav described the issue as part of a broader problem, alleging that examination mafias have compromised competitive exams across the country.
Demands and Allegations
Protesters are demanding the cancellation of the exam and its re-conduction. Pappu Yadav, who called for the Bihar Bandh, accused the Nitish Kumar-led government of administrative negligence and failing to curb corruption in recruitment processes.
