Chandrayaan-4: India to Bring Lunar Samples in 2027

India is set to launch Chandrayaan-4 in 2027, aiming to collect lunar rock samples and bring them back to Earth. Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh announced that the mission will involve two launches of LVM-3 rockets, assembling five components in Earth’s orbit before heading to the Moon.

Additionally, India will launch the Samudrayaan mission in 2026, with scientists exploring 6,000 meters below sea level. Meanwhile, the Gaganyaan mission’s uncrewed test flight, featuring the humanoid robot Vyommitra, is scheduled for later this year.

India’s space infrastructure is expanding rapidly, with a new launch site in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi for small satellites and an expansion of Sriharikota’s launch pad.
