With the Char Dham Yatra 2025 approaching, online booking for special pujas and aartis at the sacred shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath has officially started from today. Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), informed that devotees can book pujas until June 30 through the official portal: www.badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in.
The portal witnessed enthusiastic participation on its very first day, with 93 pujas booked online. Of these, 32 were Mahabhishek and Abhishek pujas for Badrinath, while 61 were Shodashopachar pujas for Kedarnath.
BKTC confirmed that there has been no increase in puja charges this year. Aarti fees range from ₹200 to ₹500 per person. Charges for other rituals include ₹2,500 for Veda or Gita Path, ₹4,700 for Mahabhishek, ₹7,200 for Rudrabhishek, ₹5,500 for Shodashopachar Puja, ₹950 for Ashtopachar Puja, and ₹28,600 for a full-day puja.
Devotees are encouraged to book their pujas in advance via the portal to avoid long waiting times or inconvenience upon reaching the temples.
