The Gangotri Temple in Uttarakhand will reopen for devotees on April 30 at 10:30 AM on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The date and time were announced by the Gangotri Temple Committee at the temple’s winter seat in Mukhwa on the occasion of Nav Samvatsar.
Alongside Gangotri, the Yamunotri Temple will also reopen on the same day, though the exact time will be announced by the Yamunotri Temple Committee on April 3, marking Yamuna Jayanti.
Meanwhile, the Badrinath and Kedarnath temple committees had already declared the opening dates for the shrines.
- Kedarnath Temple: To reopen on May 2 at 7 AM
- Badrinath Temple: To reopen on May 4 at 6 AM
Devotees from across the country are expected to participate in the Char Dham Yatra 2025, seeking the blessings of the revered Himalayan shrines.
