Preparations for Char Dham Yatra 2025 are underway, with a high-level meeting attended by Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Rajeev Swaroop, and district officials of Chamoli and Dehradun.
As per religious traditions, the Char Dham Yatra will commence on April 30, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya, when the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will open. The Badrinath temple will open on May 4 at 6 AM, while the opening date for Kedarnath will be decided on February 26 at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath through astrological calculations on Maha Shivaratri.
Additionally, the opening dates for Madmaheshwar and Tungnath will be determined on Vaishakhi, while Gangotri’s opening will be announced on Hindu New Year and Yamunotri’s on Yamuna Jayanti.
