The sacred Char Dham Yatra 2025 will commence on April 30, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya, as per religious traditions. On this day, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines will be opened for pilgrims.
Badrinath Temple to Open on May 4
On the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami, the Tehri royal court in Narendra Nagar announced that the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on May 4 at 6 AM. The date was determined through ritualistic ceremonies and Panchang calculations.
Additionally, the Gaadu Ghada (oil pot) Yatra will commence on April 22, following the traditional Til oil ritual.
Kedarnath Opening Date to be Announced on Maha Shivaratri
The opening date for Kedarnath Dham will be declared on February 26 at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, based on astrological calculations. The dates for Madmaheshwar and Tungnath temples will be announced on Baisakhi.
Meanwhile, the Gangotri Temple Committee will announce the shrine’s opening date on the Hindu New Year, and the Yamunotri Committee will finalize the schedule on Yamuna Jayanti.
