Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple

In a significant move to streamline and modernize the Char Dham Yatra, the Uttarakhand government will introduce RFID tagging for all shopkeepers, mule and porter operators along the pilgrimage routes. Additionally, digital display boards will be installed to provide real-time information to pilgrims in case of traffic jams, accidents, or emergencies.

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a review meeting on Saturday to assess the preparedness for the upcoming yatra. He emphasized the need to maintain cleanliness along the routes, address landslide-prone zones promptly, and strengthen digital communication methods. Until the digital display systems are fully functional, bulk SMS and WhatsApp messages will be used to update pilgrims with necessary alerts.

The review meeting was attended by Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, senior officials, and district magistrates of the Char Dham regions, who discussed measures to ensure a safe and efficient pilgrimage experience.
