Chardham Yatra: Over 28 Lakh Pilgrims Visit Shrines in 45 Days

Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple

The Chardham Yatra is witnessing an overwhelming response from devotees across the country and abroad. In just 45 days since the pilgrimage began on April 30, more than 28 lakh pilgrims have visited the four dhams—Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri—and Hemkund Sahib. Among them, over 10 lakh have already paid obeisance at Kedarnath Dham alone, with daily footfall exceeding 70,000 pilgrims.

Despite frequent weather disruptions, the yatra continues smoothly with strong arrangements for both online and offline registrations. Offline registration centers in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Harbatpur, and Vikasnagar are witnessing increasing numbers, with single-day registrations reaching up to 28,000.

Chardham Yatra nodal officer Yogendra Gangwar confirmed that the pilgrimage is progressing in a well-organized manner. Out of 42 lakh registered pilgrims, over 28 lakh have successfully completed the yatra so far.
