Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, speaking at the CII Business Summit on Thursday, described Operation Sindhur as a national victory and a display of unparalleled professionalism by all Indian forces. He expressed gratitude to every Indian, stating, “We were on the path of truth, and I believe even God was with us.”
The Air Force Chief evoked powerful sentiments, quoting, “Ek baar humne jo commitment kar liya, uske baad to hum khud ki bhi nahi sunte,” highlighting the unwavering dedication of the forces. He emphasized that the success of Operation Sindhur was possible due to seamless coordination among all agencies and armed forces.
Singh also stressed the importance of practical commitments, saying, “Why promise something that can’t be fulfilled? Deadlines are a big issue, and rarely do we meet them. We must stop signing contracts that we already suspect can’t be completed on time.”
Highlighting the changing outlook towards domestic capabilities, he remarked that earlier there was doubt about Indian industry’s ability to deliver defense products. But the past decade has changed that perception. “The current global situation has made it clear that self-reliance is the only way forward, and we must begin preparing for the future now,” he added.
