A modern City Park is being developed near Sahastradhara Helipad in Tarla Nagal, Dehradun, offering a wide range of facilities focused on health, learning, and recreation for all age groups. Entry to the park will be free for children and senior citizens.

The park will feature a skating ring, cafeteria, open-air theatre, kids play area, and a peaceful reading zone with a mini library for book lovers. Designed to serve both residents and tourists, the park aims to become a multi-purpose urban attraction.

According to Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari, the total project cost is estimated at ₹37 crore. Of this, ₹20 crore will be funded by MDDA and the rest by the state government. Officials have been directed to expedite construction to complete the project soon.

Health-focused zones such as an aqua pressure area and a dedicated yoga zone will also be created. Two tree houses are being added to attract children and nature enthusiasts. The park is envisioned not just as a recreational space but also as a hub for education and wellness.
