Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Major General Manoj Tiwari on Monday at the Chief Minister’s residence to discuss key issues related to the Agniveer recruitment initiative. Major General Tiwari informed that 4,500 youth from Uttarakhand have already been selected under the Agniveer scheme, with recruitment for an additional 2,000 positions to commence soon.
Focus on Increasing Youth Participation
Major General Tiwari emphasized the need to ensure maximum participation of Uttarakhand’s youth in the upcoming recruitments. He proposed the organization of special camps at the state and district levels to encourage participation and sought the state government’s support in this endeavor.
CM Dhami’s Commitment
Chief Minister Dhami expressed his support, highlighting Uttarakhand’s pride as a state with a rich tradition of military service. He assured that the state government would extend full cooperation to the army during the recruitment process and pledged assistance for the successful execution of the proposed camps.
