CM Dhami Announces ₹112 Crore Package for Nainital, Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for 17 Projects

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced development projects worth ₹112.34 crore in Nainital district during his visit to the Himigiri Stadium in Letibunga, Dhari block. He inaugurated eight projects and laid foundation stones for nine others, marking a major push for infrastructure and public facilities in the region.

The inaugurated works include road improvement on multiple routes, development of the Bhowali bypass in two parts, repair of the Bhimtal bypass road, strengthening of the Bhimtal–Khutani–Chaanfi–Parmapuri–Dhanachuli road, and construction of a 50-bed critical care unit. The CM also opened a new library and multipurpose hall at Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Halduchaud, a cowshed in Puchhdi village, and new academic rooms at a government school in Jhadapani.

He also laid foundation stones for nine projects worth ₹41.60 crore. These include construction of an examination hall at a government college in Lalkuan, boundary wall work at Lal Bahadur Shastri College, a tensile shed and pool covering at the international stadium in Gaulapar, new buildings at schools, an auditorium in Okhalkanda, residential buildings in Ramnagar, road construction from Doonikhal to Ratighat, the new Pangot–Daichori road, and flood-protection works at the Gaulapar stadium.

Residents welcomed the investment but expect timely completion, as several past projects have faced delays. The administration said the new works will improve roads, healthcare, and education in the district.
