Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended congratulations and warm wishes to newly re-elected BJP Uttarakhand State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt at his official residence. State General Secretary (Organization) Ajay Kumar was also present during the occasion.
Mahendra Bhatt has been unanimously elected for a second consecutive term as the BJP state president. Union Minister of State and election officer Harsh Malhotra officially announced Bhatt’s name during the BJP’s provincial council meeting held at a hotel on GMS Road. Malhotra also declared the election of eight members to the party’s national council.
Expressing confidence in party workers, Bhatt said the BJP will score a hat-trick in the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, following victories in district, block, and gram panchayat elections. He emphasized that every gram sabha and BDC ward should have a BJP worker contesting, adding that booth-level workers will be central to the party’s success.
Bhatt stated, “2027 is our most crucial milestone. This time, we are moving forward with the slogan of ‘60+ seats’. We uprooted the Congress and broke the myth by forming the government for the second time in 2022. Today, development is visible on the ground, not just in speeches.” He urged party workers to dedicate themselves tirelessly to strengthening the organization from the panchayat level up to the 2027 elections.
