Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium in Dehradun to boost the morale of athletes participating in the 38th National Games. He interacted with the players and even shared a meal with them.
Uttarakhand’s Historic National Games Hosting
For the first time, Uttarakhand is hosting the National Games, witnessing participation from 10,000 athletes across 35 sports, competing for 3,674 medals.
Uttarakhand’s Medal Achievements in Wushu
Uttarakhand’s athletes have excelled in wushu, winning a total of 12 medals, including:
- 1 Gold (Achom Tapas)
- 3 Silver (Ilabam Itali Chanu, Febris Devi, Harshit Sharma)
- 8 Bronze, including the first medal for the state by Jyoti Verma
These achievements have placed Uttarakhand in the top 11 of the National Games medal tally, marking the state’s best-ever performance.
