CM Dhami Flags Off Swadeshi Sankalp Run, Calls Youth to Promote Indigenous Products

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the Swadeshi Sankalp Run at Gandhi Park in Dehradun. During the event, he paid floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda and honoured institutions promoting indigenous products.

The Chief Minister said Swami Vivekananda’s message of “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved” will continue to inspire youth in strengthening the nation. He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards the goal of becoming a developed nation, and the role of youth will be decisive in achieving this vision by 2047.

CM Dhami called upon the youth to turn the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign into a mass movement. He said initiatives like Startup India, Make in India and Skill India need collective efforts to move forward. He also urged young people to stay away from drugs, adopt discipline, focus on education and skill development, and fulfil their duties towards the nation.

MLA Khajan Das, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, BJP organisation minister Ajey Kumar, party office bearers and BJP Yuva Morcha representatives were present on the occasion.
