CM Dhami Launches Digital Classroom, Signs MoUs to Boost CSR Projects in Uttarakhand

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue program at his official residence, where he virtually inaugurated a digital classroom at the primary school in Model Village Sarkot. On this occasion, the state government signed MoUs with Axis Bank for the digitalization of 24 schools and with Toyota to promote CSR initiatives in environment conservation, education, healthcare, and community empowerment.

Dhami highlighted that leading corporate houses are contributing to Uttarakhand’s development through their social responsibility initiatives in areas such as education, healthcare, sanitation, and environment protection. Institutions like IIFCL, Mankind, Avana Foundation, Toyota, Nestlé, THDC, IRCTC, HDFC, and Britannia are actively engaged in various social activities across the state.

Referring to the Global Investors Summit held in 2023, the Chief Minister said that the state received investment proposals worth over ₹3.56 lakh crore, of which projects exceeding ₹1 lakh crore have already been implemented. More than 30 policies, including industrial, logistics, startup, and MSME policies, have been introduced to create a favorable environment for industries.

To promote startups, incubation centers have been established, along with a ₹200 crore venture fund to support new enterprises. Dhami noted that Uttarakhand became the first state in India to implement the National Education Policy 2020. For quality education, NCERT textbooks have been made mandatory in all government schools.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the strict anti-copying law introduced in the state, calling it the toughest in the country. He said this law has helped more than 25,000 youth secure government jobs in the last four and a half years, and over 100 members of copying mafias have been jailed. He warned that despite attempts to disrupt exams through paper leaks, the government remains committed to eradicating such practices completely.

The event was attended by RSS publicity head Sunil Ambekar, Toyota India Country Head Vikram Gulati, Industries Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary Manmohan Mainali, along with representatives from various companies and organizations.
