CM Dhami Drives Tractor to Thank-You Rally, Announces Sports Stadium

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday announced the construction of the Maharaja Surajmal Sports Stadium in Libbarhedi, alongside the paving of the Sirki Rajwaha embankment road from Manglaur to the Har Chandpur bridge on Gurukul and Landhaura bypass. Attending a thank-you rally for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), CM Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand is the first state in India to enforce UCC, which he said is not against any religion, sect, or community.

Arriving at the rally venue on a tractor from Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Government Degree College in Narsan, CM Dhami was accompanied by rally convenor Chaudhary Kartar Singh Bhadana. Addressing the crowd at Sweety Farm in Libbarhedi, he stated that under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India now eliminates terrorist threats at their roots, unlike previous governments which only condemned such incidents.

The CM highlighted key schemes benefiting farmers, including the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, increased crop insurance, and the enhancement of the Kisan Credit Card limit from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. He reaffirmed his government’s strict stance on corruption, citing major actions in the Haridwar land scam. He asserted that no official, regardless of rank, would be spared if found guilty.

Since the implementation of the anti-cheating law, over 23,000 recruitments have been conducted transparently in the state. He also said strict actions have been taken against “land jihad,” “love jihad,” and land mafias.

State Minister Deshraj Karnwal credited the CM for fulfilling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision by implementing UCC. Former Cabinet Minister Swami Yatishwaranand praised the CM’s leadership, asserting that the state is progressing rapidly. Other dignitaries present included MLA Pradeep Batra, former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion, BJP District President Dr. Madhu Singh, State Ministers Vinay Rohila, Shyamveer Saini, Shobharam Prajapati, District Panchayat President Kiran Chaudhary, and Haridwar Mayor Anita Agarwal.
