CM Dhami Performs Rituals at Kalu Siddh Temple in Haldwani

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday offered prayers at the newly constructed Kalu Siddh Temple in Haldwani during its three-day Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony. He participated in the rituals and installed a ceremonial umbrella (chhatra) atop the sanctum, praying for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister spent around 20 minutes engaged in the formal religious ceremony and inspected the grand temple complex built at a new location due to road widening works. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by traditionally dressed women carrying ritualistic kalash. Temple committee president and Peethadheesh Mahant Kalu Giri Maharaj and Mahant Triveni Giri Maharaj felicitated the CM by adorning him with a rudraksha garland. The rituals were conducted by 16 priests under the leadership of Acharya Dr. Bhuvan Chandra Tripathi.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami said that the temple has been reconstructed at a new site in a grand and aesthetically pleasing manner, respecting the sentiments of devotees. He praised the temple committee’s contribution and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to preserving Uttarakhand’s spiritual and cultural heritage while pursuing development.

The event witnessed the presence of a large number of devotees and dignitaries including MP Ajay Bhatt, BJP district president Pratap Singh Bisht, MLAs Banshidhar Bhagat and Ram Singh Kaida, mandi president Anil Kapoor ‘Dabbu’, state minister Suresh Bhatt, Dinesh Arya, Mayor Gajraj Singh Bisht, and others. Senior administrative officers including Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat, DIG Kumaon Riddhima Aggarwal, DM Vandana Singh, SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena, and Municipal Commissioner Richa Singh were also present.
