CM Dhami Renames Four Schools in Honour of Martyrs and Freedom Fighters

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the renaming of government schools in Uttarakhand to honour martyrs and freedom fighters. Four schools across three districts will now carry the names of notable figures who contributed to the country’s freedom struggle and national service.

In Pauri Garhwal, Government Inter College Chiplaghat has been renamed as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rawat Government Inter College Chiplaghat. Similarly, in the Dehradun district, Government Higher Secondary School Maindrath Chakrata will now be known as Pandit Sairam Government Higher Secondary School.

In another update from Pauri Garhwal, Government Higher Secondary School Pundargaon has been renamed as Freedom Fighter Kunwar Singh Rawat Government Higher Secondary School Pundargaon. Additionally, Government Inter College Didihat in Pithoragarh will now be known as Freedom Fighter Madhon Singh Jangpangi GIC Didihat.

These changes reflect the state government’s commitment to preserving and promoting the legacy of those who made significant sacrifices for the nation.
