CM Dhami reviews flood-hit areas, orders faster relief in Chamoli’s Nandnagar

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday reviewed the situation across rain-affected regions of the state from the State Emergency Operation Center at IT Park, Dehradun. He directed officials to intensify rescue and relief efforts in the disaster-hit villages of Nandnagar in Chamoli district.

During the review, Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari briefed the Chief Minister on the situation. Dhami instructed that critically injured persons be airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for advanced medical care. Since morning, he has been in constant touch with officials at the operation center and the district administration to monitor rescue and relief work.

The Chief Minister ordered speedy restoration of roads, drinking water supply, electricity, and communication networks in affected regions. He also instructed authorities to ensure proper arrangements for shelter, food, clean water, and other essential facilities for disaster-hit families. Adequate deployment of doctors and medicines was directed to provide immediate medical aid whenever needed.

Following the disaster in Nandnagar, the district administration and police swiftly evacuated a large number of people. Relief and rescue operations are continuing with full coordination and urgency. Dhami emphasized that relief materials must reach every affected family without delay.
