Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Army Helipad in Haldwani on Friday. The Vice President was concluding his three-day visit to Uttarakhand and stopped in Haldwani before departing for Delhi. Uttarakhand Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh was also present during the interaction.
During the meeting, held at the helipad premises, the Chief Minister and Vice President discussed key state-related matters and various ongoing development projects in detail. CM Dhami expressed his gratitude for the Vice President’s visit, stating that it brought renewed energy and inspiration to the state.
Vice President Dhankhar praised Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage, strong military tradition, and the state’s efforts toward sustainable development. On this occasion, CM Dhami presented a collection of local products under the state’s unified brand ‘House of Himalayas’ to the Vice President.
Following the meeting, CM Dhami and Governor Gurmit Singh conducted an aerial survey of the Jamrani Dam Project to review the progress of construction. The survey was accompanied by MP Ajay Bhatt, MLA Sarita Arya, Haldwani Mayor Gajraj Bisht, Cabinet Minister Deepak Mehra, CM’s Commissioner/Secretary Deepak Rawat, IG Riddhim Aggarwal, District Magistrate Vandana, SSP P.N. Meena, and other senior officials.
