He assured full government support to the disaster-hit families, emphasizing that the state stands firmly with them in this difficult time.
The Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrate to ensure no delays or shortcomings in providing relief. Earlier in the day, Dhami conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas including Bankuda in Thalisain tehsil. He later reached Nautha, where he interacted with residents of Buransi and handed over relief cheques to five disaster-hit families.
In Sainji, the Chief Minister personally visited homes damaged by the cloudburst, walking through broken roads to reach the worst-hit areas. Villagers shared their concerns and expressed gratitude for the prompt response. Dhami assured them that no one should feel alone in this crisis and instructed officials to expedite rehabilitation and relocation efforts.
He directed officials to assess damage caused by excessive rainfall and relocate vulnerable residents to safer locations immediately. He also stressed that relief centres must have adequate arrangements for power, water, toilets, medicines, and food supplies. Further, he asked Wadia Institute to conduct a geological survey of the area.
Focusing on health services, Dhami ordered the deployment of mobile medical units in the affected villages to ensure timely treatment for the sick, elderly, pregnant women, and children. He also instructed that essential medicines, first-aid kits, and medical staff be made available at all times.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat thanked the Chief Minister for his proactive approach and suggested forming a dedicated committee for rehabilitation. He also recommended prioritising compensation for damaged shops and homes.
The District Administration informed the Chief Minister that a list of affected families has been prepared and both relief supplies and financial aid are being distributed. Officials assured that administrative teams are reaching every village to ensure no one is left out of the relief process.
