Rishikesh, October 26, 2024 – The third Cochrane India Conclave commenced at AIIMS Rishikesh, aiming to strengthen evidence-based healthcare practices and enhance the quality of health services in India. The event, attended by over 250 healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers from India and abroad, includes sessions on evidence synthesis, protocol development, and data dissemination.

Inaugurated by AIIMS Rishikesh Executive Director Prof. Meenu Singh and Cochrane India Network Co-Chair Dr. Anju Sinha, the conclave provides hands-on training in meta-analysis, data assessment, and systematic reviews. Prof. Jaya Chaturvedi, Academic Dean of AIIMS Rishikesh, and conclave secretary Sandeep Kumar Singh highlighted the importance of accessible, practical workshops for emerging researchers facing unique challenges in evidence-based healthcare.
The event features international experts, including Dr. Patrick Stover and Dr. Amanda McFarlane from the USA, who are focusing on advanced topics like clinical trial accuracy and healthcare protocol development. Faculty from institutions such as PGIMER Chandigarh, CMC Vellore, and AIIMS Delhi lead sessions aimed at elevating healthcare standards through shared skills and expertise.
