On the final day of the 2025 Kanwar Yatra and Shravan Shivratri, a massive gathering of devotees arrived in Haridwar to take a holy dip in the Ganga and offer water to Lord Shiva. From early morning, devotees were seen performing jalabhishek and rituals at major Shiva temples across the city.
Pilgrims visited prominent temples including Daksheshwar Mahadev (considered Shiva’s in-laws’ home), Tilbhandeshwar Mahadev, Daridra Bhanjan, Dukh Bhanjan, Neeleshwar Mahadev, Kundi Sota Mahadev, Bilkeshwar Mahadev, Gupteshwar Mahadev, and Pashupatinath Temple.
So far, crores of devotees have already filled their kanwars with Ganga water and departed for their respective destinations. Devotional fervor peaked during the Brahma Muhurat, which began at 4:15 AM and ended at 4:56 AM, as told by Bhagwatacharya Pandit Pawan Krishna Shastri. He added that the Vijay Muhurat is from 2:44 PM to 3:39 PM and the Sandhya Muhurat is from 7:17 PM to 8:20 PM.
According to Acharya Vikas Joshi from Narayan Jyotish Sansthan, devotees will also observe fasts throughout the Chaturdashi Tithi. He said that Lord Shiva blesses devotees with fulfilled wishes through sincere jalabhishek on this sacred occasion.
