The State Public Service Commission’s website has been rendered non-functional following a cyber attack, leaving many candidates in the dark. Experts from the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) are working relentlessly to restore the website. However, with no clear resolution in sight, the Commission has opted to revert to traditional methods of publishing results through newspapers to avoid delaying recruitment processes.
The Commission’s website hosts vital information, including recruitment advertisements, exam results, admit cards, and syllabi. Since the cyber attack, the website has been inaccessible for over a week. The site was backed up by ITDA, but that backup was encrypted during the “Makop” ransomware attack, further complicating recovery efforts.
Frustration among unemployed youth has been mounting as they repeatedly try to access the website without success. Commission Secretary Girdhari Singh Rawat assured the public that they are in constant communication with ITDA, and experts are trying their best to get the site running again. In the meantime, the Commission plans to release some results through print media to ensure that recruitment processes continue smoothly.
Once the website is back online, the Commission will resume posting new recruitment advertisements and issue admit cards for the upcoming Review Officer Main Examination, scheduled for later this month. ITDA Director Nitika Khandelwal stated that technical issues with the website are being resolved, and they hope to have it operational soon.
