125 Kg Dynamite Seized in Dehradun; Three Held During Police Checking Drive

In a major security operation, police in Dehradun’s Tyuni area have seized a large cache of explosives during a routine checking campaign. Authorities intercepted an Alto car carrying 125 kilograms of dynamite, along with two boxes of detonators, a roll of red wire, and a bundle of blasting fuses.

The occupants of the vehicle—identified as Rinku, Rohit, and Sunil—failed to provide valid documentation for transporting the explosive materials. All three have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under relevant sections of the Explosives Act at Tyuni police station.

The operation was part of intensified security measures ahead of upcoming panchayat elections in the region. Police officials have been conducting strict checks to prevent any illegal activities that could disrupt law and order.
