Teachers Protest: Anger Over Delays in Promotions and Transfers

The Rajkiya Shikshak Sangh has announced continued protests against delays in teacher promotions and transfers. The association claims that despite vacancies for principals being promotion-based, eligible lecturers are being denied opportunities. Teachers argue that during their entire service period, they get only two chances for promotion, yet these posts are being filled through direct recruitment, blocking their career progression.

According to union media in-charge Pranay Bahuguna, teachers across the state will observe a collective leave today and stage sit-in demonstrations at the Chief Education Officer (CEO) offices in their respective districts. The protest reflects growing resentment among educators, who allege that the education department is neglecting their rightful claims and creating injustice by delaying promotions.
