Devprayag, October 24, 2024: In a tragic accident near Devprayag, an army truck overturned, leading to the death of a soldier who was crushed beneath it. The incident occurred near the NHPC Bend. Local police from Devprayag station, with the help of a crane, managed to upright the vehicle and retrieve the soldier. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased soldier has been identified as Havildar Shailendra Singh, 35, of the 26 Rajput Regiment. Authorities have stated that an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the accident.
