In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday, the Uttarakhand government approved three major proposals aimed at improving administration and public services.
One significant decision was the amendment of service rules for the post of Principal in government schools. This change will help resolve ongoing confusion regarding promotions, appointments, and eligibility criteria in the Education Department.
The cabinet also approved the creation of 82 posts for the smooth functioning of the Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027. The newly appointed personnel will manage essential tasks such as sanitation, healthcare, security, and coordination during the mega religious event.
In a move to enhance citizen convenience, the government passed a proposal to simplify the e-stamp system in the state. With this, citizens will no longer have to wait in long queues to purchase stamps, as the digital process will be more accessible and efficient.
