Strict Action on Fake Ayushman Cards
After uncovering the issue of fake cardholders under the Ayushman scheme, the Chief Minister has ordered an investigation. A large number of fake cardholders from neighboring states have been availing treatments in government hospitals, inflating the scheme’s expenditure to ₹1,100 crore. The CM assured that strict action will be taken against the offenders, with corrective measures implemented following the probe.
Economic Corridor Along Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Line
The Dhami government has tasked the Uttarakhand Investment Infrastructure Development Board (UIIDB) with drafting a blueprint for an economic corridor along the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line. This initiative aims to reduce travel distances in the hills while fostering local economies by encouraging trade and business activities.
Pledge for a Drug-Free Uttarakhand
To make Uttarakhand drug-free, the Chief Minister announced a more effective strategy for the new year. Plans include increasing awareness against drug abuse, strengthening surveillance, and conducting monthly reviews of anti-drug measures.
