District Magistrate Savin Bansal organized a multipurpose camp in the remote Tyuni region, offering significant support to underprivileged residents. From financial aid to disability pensions and essential equipment, the camp served as a ray of hope for the vulnerable.
In one notable case, Durga Devi from Fanar, struggling to raise five children after her husband’s death, faced a ₹17,000 electricity bill. Upon hearing her plea, the DM promptly cleared the payment using the Rifle Fund. Similarly, Promila Devi from Mundhol received a financial aid cheque for house damage assistance.
The camp also extended support to differently-abled individuals. Eleven-year-old Kartik from Dirnad was provided with a tricycle and sponsorship of ₹4,000 per month for his education, along with a disability pension. Additionally, numerous others, including minors and adults like Kiran, Kaniska, and Sumit, were granted disability pensions. Sixteen-year-old Ravina also secured educational sponsorship under the scheme.
Addressing local grievances, the DM approved the establishment of a gas distribution point at Banadhar. Previously, villagers had to travel 4 kilometers to Chilhar for gas refills. The immediate response by the administration was met with appreciation from the community.
The camp reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development, ensuring timely assistance to those in need.
