Dehradun: The Congress high command has once again handed over the leadership of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee to Ganesh Godiyal, replacing Karan Mahara. Party general secretary K.C. Venugopal issued the official appointment order on Wednesday.
Along with this, former state president Pritam Singh has been appointed as the head of the party’s Election Campaign Committee, while senior leader Harak Singh Rawat has been given charge of the Election Management Committee. Outgoing president Karan Mahara has been appointed as a special invitee to the Congress Working Committee.

This marks the second time Ganesh Godiyal has taken charge of the state Congress unit; he previously held the position from 22 July 2021 to 10 April 2022. Party leaders have expressed confidence that his leadership will strengthen the Congress ahead of the upcoming elections in Uttarakhand.
