A meeting was held at Shri Jagannath Ashram on Advaitanand Marg in Rishikesh to prepare for the upcoming Garh Lok Sanskriti Mahotsav. During the meeting, it was decided that the festival will take place on August 5.
The event will highlight Garhwal’s traditional culture and heritage. Women’s welfare groups (Mahila Mangal Dals) and students from local schools will be invited to participate in the festivities.
Mahant Lokesh Das, the event’s patron, emphasized that understanding Garhwal’s culture is essential to truly appreciating the spiritual and traditional essence of Uttarakhand. Festival coordinator Prateek Kalia stated that the aim of the committee is to promote the talent of women and children.
Present at the meeting were Asaram Vyas, Kamal Singh Rana, Ghanshyam Nautiyal, Gajendra Singh Kandiyal, Ankur Agrawal, Aditya Singer, Amit Dixit, Nishu, and others.
